I MISS YOU, MARIUS
What are these crazy Danes doing over there? Did they lose their mind?
The story of Marius, the young giraffe that was put down and dissected at the Copenhagen Zoo, raises a number of questions about the ethics of the zoo industry and human attitudes to rare animals, children and death. Péter Becz, a Hungarian filmmaker living among the Danes brings us on a meditative and optimistic journey about why killing healthy zoo animals might be necessary and what good may come from cutting up animals in front of children.
Trigger warning: the film contains blood, images of dead animals and snakes.
